Texas' Hunting and Fishing Trip Specialists

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Welcome to Texas Outdoor Organizers, your Texas based Hunting and Fishing Trip Specialists.

Texas is truly the sportsman and woman's paradise. Millions of acres of land and millions of acres of fresh and saltwater to explore and enjoy.
Texas Outdoor Organizers (T.O.O.) was founded in February 2000 as a way to assist the hunter and fisherman in putting together the outdoor trip in Texas that best fits their need. When you utilize T.O.O., you can be assured we will organize your trip based on your criteria, not on what the ranch/outfitter, captain, or guide wants to do or has to offer. This is our business, when you contact us, you will find that T.O.O. only organizes hunting and fishing trips.
We are here to work for you, and we work for you to make your trip a success, not to make a ranch /outfitter, guide, or captain happy.
We do not believe in flash and wowing sportsmen with a fancy website. We believe that our service needs to reflect the expense you incur when planning a hunting and fishing trip in Texas. Everything we do is based on getting the sportsman the best deal for a hunting or fishing trip in Texas.

2010 Hunting and Fishing Outlook and Options:
*T.O.O. will have our updated website ready by May 1st, 2010. We are currently filtering through the best options for the hunting and fishing sportsman or 2010. Please bear with us during these changes*
So far, 2010 has turned out to be a lot more frustrating than 2009. The current economic situation has had a huge impact on the Hunting and Fishing business in Texas. Not so much for the resident sportsmen and women of Texas, but non-resident sportsmen are hurting due to the economy and have cut back on booking hunting and fishing trips by a large percentage so far.

In 2009, this was great news for the sportsman, as were are many Texas hunting and fishing operations that lowered their costs, or offer more to get hunters and fishermen to book with their  operation.
Interesting,  a number of hunting and fishing operations have raised prices to above pre-2009 levels, which seems a bit risky as the economy has still not stabilized as it needed to insure frequent bookings for the hunting and fishing operations in Texas.
As sportsmen are now getting a firm idea what they can afford to spend on a trip for 2010, this is where T.O.O. will be a benefit to those sportsmen and women looking for the best deal out there.
T.O.O. has been in contact with many fishing and hunting operations and we are updating our database to include this new information.

HOW T.O.O. WORKS FOR YOU
There are two ways to utilize Texas Outdoor Organizers services.

Option 1: The sportsman asks for a list of hunting and fishing operations in Texas that fit your criteria.

Option 2:  Allow T.O.O. to work for you to book a trip for you.
T.O.O. will do all the work, you decide which hunt or fishing trip interests you, and basically go on with your life instead of waiting for the returned phone calls and emails from ranches, outfitters, guides, or captains.

Both Option 1 and 2 are explained more thoroughly below. In both options, you have total control and final approval of the trip.

Option 1. List of ranches, guides or captains
You know what type of trip you want and contact T.O.O.
We take all the information of your trip and contact those operations that meet your criteria. We forward that information, up to 10 different hunts or fishing trips, to you.
You look it over and if you like the information, you pay us for our service, and we then send the contact information to you.
You do all the calling from then on, and are responsible for making any final decision. If the 10 operations do not meet your criteria, we will send you an additional operations. All operations on the list will meet your trip criteria and will be available when you are wanting to go hunting or fishing at the time of T.O.O. contacting them.

Option 2. Book a trip through T.O.O.
You contact T.O.O., provide us with the trip criteria you are looking for in a hunt or fishing trip, and we put together a list of operations that meet your criteria.
We discuss these options with you and you decide which ones you want to pursue further. We then have the ranch, guide or captain contact you, provide a website, (if available), and you make your decision. We take care of the deposit, all paperwork, and all other information needed to make the trip a success and you book through T.O.O.'s work.
With this option you are allowing us to work for you from start to finish. Our involvement ends after you leave the ranch or boat. We charge more to book through T.O.O. as we are responsible for more than providing a list. We are actively taking care of your trip for you from start to finish.
Both methods are based on one thing, to allow the sportsmen that wants to hunt or fish in Texas to find the best trip for the best value for them.
 That's all T.O.O. does
, we work to find the best hunt or fishing trip for you based on what you want to do, when you want and where you want.

We enjoy talking about potential trips so calling us is how we like to deal with sportsmen, but we know that folks are busy and emailing is often a better way to communicate with us, but either way,  contact us at (210) 215-3877 or by email if you want T.O.O. to reduce the time you spend looking for a quality hunt or fishing trip in Texas.

** Ranches, Guides, and Captains- In 2008, T.O.O. had over 100,000 different sportsmen look over our website. We are still on pace to have over 100,000 clicks looking over our website in 2009.
Everyone of these sportsmen are interested in hunting or fishing in Texas. That is a lot of sportsmen that are specifically looking to hunt or fish in Texas. Feel free to contact T.O.O. to see how we can connect the sportsman to your operation**

WHY TEXAS OUTDOOR ORGANIZERS?
There is a catch to all this water and land in Texas. Where does one go to enjoy the natural resources of the state?
Texas is 97% privately owned, and the number of fishing guides, ranches, hunting preserves, and outfitters staggers the imagination. There are over 400 saltwater fishing guides and a couple hundred more freshwater guides.
In addition there are many, many ranches, hunting preserves, and outfitters throughout the state that offer hunting for a fee. So what does one do to enjoy hunting and fishing in Texas?
One Call Is All It Takes
Most web sites have a few guides or ranches associated with that particular web site. Some web sites have a listing of guides or ranches with telephone numbers, email addresses, and/or web sites. The question is, who do you call, and what do you do when they are booked when you want to fish or hunt? Are you prepared to spend several days or weeks and a good number of hours calling and emailing to find a hunting or fishing trip?

That's where Texas Outdoor Organizers (T.O.O.) can help you. We offer something different than the standard web site listings.
T.O.O. is a free agent. We do not align ourselves with any particular guide, ranch, or outfitter. What that means is we work for the sportsman. Period. We find the trip you want, where you want, when you want, and for the price you want.
One contact point for you to get everything lined up for the trip you want. We organize trips for all types of Texas hunting and fishing, whether it's Big Game Hunting, Bird Hunting, Exotics, Saltwater or Freshwater Fishing.
What the sportsman can expect from T.O.O.
You can expect T.O.O. to work for you to book a hunting or fishing trip that you want. We will not try to convince you to book a more expensive trip or in a different area, or for a different species.
You can expect T.O.O. to work for you to give honest information regarding your interest in hunting and fishing in Texas. We will tell you if the price you want to spend is comparable to what is available and if your desires are able to be met.
You can expect T.O.O. to only book licensed, and for saltwater, Coast Guard approved, and permitted guides. There is no other option on booking a licensed and permitted captain for offshore fishing trips in Texas.
You can expect T.O.O. to book only honest, fairly represented ranches and outfitters regarding hunting.
You can expect T.O.O. to not book "canned hunts", canned hunts are illegal in Texas and not an option.
You can expect T.O.O. to suggest the best time and season to book a hunt or fishing trip.
You can expect T.O.O. to contact you as necessary to make sure your hunt or fishing trip fits your criteria, and to make sure the trip is progressing smoothly.
What T.O.O expects from the sportsman
T.O.O. expects that you allow us to use our expertise and knowledge to find you the best hunting or fishing trip available to you.
T.O.O. expects you to understand that some situations will be difficult to fulfill, and even impossible in some cases.
T.O.O. expect you to understand that we will tell you the truth about the hunting and fishing conditions for the time period you are considering for hunting or fishing.
That means we will be honest with you. If you want to go on a trophy Speckled Trout trip in August, we will inform you that your chances will not be as good as in March or April.
T.O.O. expects that you understand that all fees and deposits be on file with us before any trip is booked. It is also expected that all lists be paid for before they are delivered to you.
With both sides working together, T.O.O. and the sportsman, we can put together the trip that fits your criteria.

The Texas Outdoor Organizers Advantage
T.O.O. has two ways for you to find the right hunting or fishing trip in Texas.

1. Sportsman's List
The first way is to buy a list of available hunts or fishing trips. This is usually an advance planning situation. (six months or more in advance) This is for the sportsman that wants to communicate with those guides and ranches about their operations on their own. You will receive up to 10 ranches/guides on your list.

2. Booking through T.O.O.
The second and most used method is for T.O.O. to book a trip for you. This is the ideal situation for those who don't have the time or the knowledge to call the appropriate people. This what we excel in, finding the right trip for you, without you spending a lot of time or money contacting people about a hunting or fishing trip.

Payment
T.O.O. will ask for two separate payments for our services on the larger cost hunting or fishing trips. One payment made to T.O.O. for our service and the other payment will be the deposit to be paid directly to your trip. We will handle all the paperwork of the deposit, including forwarding of payment to the responsible parties.

When you contact Texas Outdoor Organizers to find your ideal trip, we operate on a simple fee charge, with two ways of obtaining the best trip for you.
The difference between the two charges is due to the fact that when you order a list you are responsible for the contacting and you make the final decision on which trip will fit your criteria. Basically, you are left with only having to contact the operations on the list and you do all the contacting for the specifics of your trip.
When you use T.O.O. to book the trip, we are responsible and accountable to you as we are also putting our name on this trip.
With a higher responsibility, we charge more, as we are directly involved in more aspects of your trip.

Option 1
Ordering a list from T.O.O.

Hunting
Our charge for providing you a list that meets your criteria is based on the cost of a single gun. This for Deer, Exotics, Turkey, Package Quail Hunts, and Hog/Javelina hunting. We will provide a list of up to 10 reputable ranches and outfitters that have the hunting trip you want within your price range.

1. Up to $1000 a gun or bow hunt, the charge is $100.

2. $1,000-$3,000 the charge is $150 total cost.

3. Over $3,000 the charge is $200 total cost.

All costs are for whatever number of hunters that are in the group. No change in price due to a high number of hunters.
Example: You and a buddy are interested in spending $1,500 a piece for a 3 day package hunt. Total cost is $1,500 per hunter for the hunt, for a total of $3,000. T.O.O.'s fee would be $150 total for a list of ranches and outfitters.
We feel that it is inappropriate to charge someone per gun, when the same information is being passed to a group. It takes the same amount of time to find a single person's hunt as it does a group. So we charge on the amount per hunter, not the total price for all involved.

Dove Hunting
T.O.O. willingly arranges package dove hunts; however we suggest there be at least 5 hunters per hunt.  We feel that with less than 5 hunters it is not cost efficient for you to book with us, or purchase a list from T.O.O.
T.O.O. will of course book less than 5 hunters; it's just more costly to you.

1-20 hunters - $100 per hunt day.
20+ hunters- $150 per hunt day.
These prices are for both package hunts and day lease hunts.

Fishing:
A fishing list is based on the cost of the boat chartered. T.O.O.'s price for fishing lists are as follows:
Up to $500 a boat - 10% of the boat cost
$500-$1000 a boat -10% of the boat price or $75 whichever is less.
Over $1000 a boat -10% of the boat price or $150 which ever is less.
We average the cost you want to spend and then charge you that average.

All lists will include guides/ranches that are open the date(s) you request. There is no guarantee that those dates will be open when you call, however, T.O.O. will be happy to submit an additional list if the listed parties prove to be booked, provided you contact them in a reasonable time.

Option 2- Booking a trip through T.O.O.

Hunting Packages
T.O.O. charges 10% of the base cost of the hunt per hunter.

Example: A sportsman looking for a three person hunt that comes to $1,800 per hunter or $5,400 T.O.O's fee will be $540.
We do not push the highest cost hunt that fits your hunting criteria, but the hunt that gives you the best chance to have the hunt of your dreams.

We charge only 10% per hunter  as we feel that is appropriate for the service we provide. It is unreasonable to charge 15-20% or more for a hunt to be booked as some businesses do even when you are counting on T.O.O. to do the work for you.

Fishing
To book a trip through T.O.O., our fees are:

Charters that cost up to $3,000-10% of the base charter cost

Charters over $3,000- 8% of the trip cost with a lower percentage on the higher cost charters.

(Fishing trips that cost from $3,000 and higher are usually long range off-shore boats that can take 6-40 people off-shore for 12-48 or longer hour trips)

T.O.O. offers discounts for multiple boat bookings, and multiple bookings. Please contact T.O.O. for details.
The T.O.O. Promise and Philosophy
Texas Outdoor Organizers realizes your time and money are important to you. Many people like to do the calling, emailing, and waiting for the returned call.
However, when the time comes to find a trip, and your boss or your business demands that you concentrate on the work in front of you, or your family time prevents you from getting it done, it makes sense to allow someone to take care of the extra work and time that comes from finding a hunting or fishing trip.
For individual groups and husband/wives, letting T.O.O. take care of a trip for you makes finding a  trip that more enjoyable.

Your wish for a hunting and fishing trip that is memorable is our only concern. Everything else does not matter. We promise to work to find the trip you want based on your needs, not what we think is right, or what a guide or ranch thinks is right.
We promise to do everything in our power to make your trip a success and enjoyable.
